#2 Lancers rout the Ravens, win 11-1

Olathe Northwest had an uphill battle on Monday night as they matched up against Joey Wentz, the number 1 prospect in the 2016 class in Kansas and Starting pitcher, Zeb Vermillion the number 2 prospect for the 2017 class in Kansas.

The Ravens struggled all night defensively as they had seven errors with one coming on the first play of the game by Senior third baseman, Tanner Holland.

"We did not do our very best on Monday night. Coach Setter does not ever question our heart or mind but only our focus."

Northwest let up two runs in the first and then responded with a run of their own. That run would be the last of the game for them as they had runners in scoring position several times but could not capitalize due to the strong pitching performance by Vermillion and the Lancers superb defense.

Olathe Northwest will play Lawrence Freestate at Freestate on Thursday night.
